Our Pastor

Pastor Rick Nesmith served on staff at Galilean Baptist Church, Cedar Hill, Texas, and Berean Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri before  becoming pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, Kountze, Texas, in 1984.  

He has also pastored Liberty Baptist Church, Monett, Missouri, and started New Testament Baptist Church, Joplin, Missouri in 1997, as a mission out of Berean Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri, and served until 2010.  
He has been pastor of Liberty Baptist Church, here in Cabot, since December 2010.  
He is a 1984 graduate of Independent Baptist College, Dallas,TX, and a 1990 graduate of Baptist Bible College, Springfield, MO.

He and Sue have been serving the Lord together since 1977. Their daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter live in Leesburg, VA.
